Did you know that if you become a mormon, you get an entire PLANET to rule over after you die?
And not some shitty planet like Venus or Mars either, an earth-like one with human inhabitants for you to lord over.
Of course, I'm always skeptical about religions that promise up their rewards in the "next" life. Reeks of scam-o-rama-ding-dong to me.
Assuming it's true tho, I don't know it's such a great thing. I mean it sounds awesome at the outset, but then after you've godded over your world for a dozen or so millenia you're bound to get bored and look to the rest of the stars pondering how you could rule them too.
And even if you do manage to take over the Milky Way Darth Vader style, you'll still be like "Why am I stuck with this one single stupid galaxy? I want the UNIVERSE, mfkr!"

No such thing as harassment on this shard in game. You will be told by devs to find a player driven solution. Basically, learn to deal with it or quit, they dont care. UoF is a griefer pk shard now, and now that they have shifted it towards that, it will never be anything else. Posts like this have been going on for quite some time, this thread will be locked or deleted soon. Welcome to UoFp.s. if you quit can I have all yer stuff?
People have been saying this literally since shard launch. Can you imagine what it was like after launch when there was no stat for reds? Saying they have shifted things towards favoring griefers is either a joke or grossly misinformed. Staff is correct is pushing player driven solutions IMO.
@Orgha you have a vastly different recollection of 'real UO' than I do. Rez killing and trash talking have always been a part of the game. Regardless, I am curious: what makes your opinion of what 'real UO' is and how people 'should' play it more relevant than others?
Telling people 'No no, you play UO like this not like that! You're playing UO wrong!' Is one of the most ridiculous things I see on here.

@Karl Sagan after reading your posts in this thread, all I can say is you must be a total asshole in the game. I just wonder in RL if you are the pun of all your friends jokes or the one that everyone picks on at work/school. RE: me being total asshole: It depends I guess. I have given out probably close to a mil in gold to youngs as I do the companion thing pretty regularly. I spend a fair bit of time helping people get used to the shard, answering questions etc.
I also like to steal from people. I like playing a thief. I like looting corpses and being a general scumbag in game. I like to gank people with EQMS.
So yes, sometimes asshole sometimes saint. Both are rewarding and fun in different ways.
As to your fantasy about my RL, sorry but no. If it makes you feel better somehow to imagine my life is like that, go ahead lol. I find it super weird though. My life owns/I own.

That's natural evolution of UO player... Comes to game, plays it, is amazed... gets griefed, rages out of his mind... quits the game only to be lured back sooner or later by that something (freedom and danger) that only UO has... gets used to griefing... starts griefing too.

If you give out million to new players and help new players as you say, isn't that being overly nice in the game? I to play a companion and help new players and even use my blacksmith to build armor/weapons and put in the building beside the bank for new players. I don't have millions to give out, rofl I don't even have thousands to give out. I am the one that would be overly nice to even someone that pked me. Oh and I have done that, been pked, rezzed and then made them some armor/weapons and gave to them because they asked.
I truly feel that for someone to have friends they must first show themselves friendly.
Oh and btw, I apologize for calling you an asshole. just not a fan of griefers. We all come here to have fun, being griefed is not my idea of having fun.

Yes it's being overly nice. My previous assertion stands.
I don't give more than like 10k and maybe a small house to people who I think will stick around. Otherwise I just direct them to the community boxes in the companions hall.
I have pkd and rezzed, and pkd and rezkilled. My favorite was pking w EQMS and they rezd an obviously newish player and let him follow us around looting kills.
