I might even be mistaken about perks being in tmap chests. They are in paragon chests for sure but I really don't think I've done a tmap since their addition. It is a relatively new addition, sometime last year. In my experience the chance of a perk in a chest is about 15%

The frags you've just had bad luck on I guess. Higher level maps don't seen to make much of a difference from what I've heard it's less than 5%, one in 30-50 maps. Again just what I've heard.

This is a useful guide for turning in crystals, much appreciation to Bobby for putting it together! But I'd like to comment on a few things that haven't been true in my experience.

( i am confident if you do it everyday for a month , you get a minimum of 2 relics )

The day this guide was posted, last year, I started turning in crystals at Hythloth every day for a month, just to test the theory. I generally had the majority of crystals, sometimes up to half of them. I received 0 relics. And in the 8 months since then, I've turned in crystals at the various altars pretty regularly, although usually only a few crystals (1-5 or so). Still 0 relics. So in my opinion this is not a reliable moneymaking system, it's more like the lottery or scratch tickets -- doesn't hurt to try it but don't count on getting anything.

I'd say this is generally true of Hythloth and Covetous, but not Destard which can be swarming with pks during prime time. Also pks sometimes camp the altars and kill you and take your crystals when you go to turn them in, so it can be better to turn them in 1 or 2 at a time if you have a lot.

Junk Ps are worth 70k , the better ps are worth 250k etc

These prices have nearly doubled since this was posted, junk scrolls are now 120-130k. I agree though that champs generally aren't lucrative for most people unless they're really lucky. I'm starting to doubt whether the RNG is really all that random because having tracked my champ drops for some time there's a pretty clear pattern (a junk scroll every fifth or sixth champ, no 120s and no relics).

Most people will get a relic if they do everyday and I also had one guy telling me he gotten 3 relics in a month just by following the guide . Also if my memory serves me right , we even one guy in our guild telling us he got 5 relics within a month just by doing crystals turn in daily in 3 the different dungeons .

Also if you are only getting 25-35k gold an hour farming crystals , something must really be wrong with your farming spots . And not even a taming SS in 30 days ??? Are you serious ??? You must be really unlucky or just farming the wrong mobs

However its good that we both agree that champs spawns arent lucrative for most people .

Well maybe you were really unlucky with the RNG in that period so dont give up and just keep trying

Basically anything that drops SS - has a chance to drop taming SS, more often than not, those are magic casting creatures.

I think this is also dependent on how often you play per day. Some people have more time than others, so their chances of getting a drop from crystals will be much higher. This can also be applied to champs. You may do champs everyday, but that may be 1-2 a day. Other players may do 4-5. It is a numbers game of RNG.

I used to do champs constantly and was almost always in the top ten for score, usually top 5 until I switched to archery. Here's a representative sample of what I dropped in three days of champs, this pattern has been consistent over many months:

Much of my wealth has come from looting corpses, not drops to pack. Across the board my luck is down again, I have fallen out of favor with the RNG gods. We had a rough start on UOF but for a while they did smile down upon me.

This is mostly true for me as well. Let it be known that @Bromista has been known to throw gold relics on the ground at RDA's and has an extraordinary ugly statue drop rate.

About 1500 ps dropped in my up career. Zero 120 taming.
About 2000 total altar crystals placed. Zero relics.
RNG is evil but it means I have to keep playing so it has a chance to balance out.

I've gotten 2 relics from the destard turn ins. It was back when i was training my zerker tally on drakes/dragons. They come very few and far between BUT it's pretty exciting to open your bank and see a random relic sitting in it. Made my training location choice 100% worth it for me...im sure I wouldn't say the same though had I not gotten lucky twice!

if you are talking crystals, there are altars in all 3 of the dungeons - Destard is by the ankh near teh champ spawn, Cove is upstairs on the big building center north, and Hythloth is far east on the first level when you first go into the dungeon in a room there.
