I feel like Shane was referring to a talisman that gives you greater control as it levels up. Nothing more. At least I hope that's what he was thinking.

if I have spent that much god damn time leveling a pet, it had better listen to my commands. Lvl 7 should be a reward, not a swift kick in the balls and then have some dollar amount I need to pay to have better control over it.
I'm all for consumerism but wtf already. Make a solution for the everyman. You'll have more people using dono because they want to than trying to force them into "having to".
