I don't think @Budcookie is greedy or ungrateful. He's just a human being who got frustrated by people being shits, and he's taking a break. It happens and even if he never comes back that proves nothing. UO and UOF are not for everyone, as much as we all wish it was.

I though budcookie was actually really chill and it sucks that he couldn't figure out a way to run his auctions without some pretty massive favors from the staff.

Wreck, I believe @Swayze OP was about the work load in general of the staff. It wasnt a general discussion for people to go on vants about their various issues.

Give this player a huge house in a city to run his auction out of...for free....
Player upset he can't use the house for storage and setting up his own vendors.
Takes it upon himself to move his vendor to his own house.
Pk's attack his auction.
Get's upset, tells everyone at auction to page in about the pk griefing.
Get's more upset when staff does not get involved by putting a guard zone around his house or make it so pk's cannot attack.
Quits.

Budcookie was the most favored person ever on this server in my opinion and we just got shit on because of it.

It's pretty much how I remember it as well, except for the flood of complaints of unfair corruption and favoritism towards you by people who were banned from your auctions for being shitters. Surely you can see how something like this that started out great could quickly become a headache and a liability, and coupled with your demands it was more effective to just shut it down.

Shane is in here addressing these concerns and explaining things. Doing a pretty good job of it too.

Expectations seem to be a tad unrealistic in this thread tbqh.

Surely you can see how something like this that started out great could quickly become a headache and a liability, and coupled with your demands it was more effective to just shut it down.

My "demands" wernt even close to this. Lets be clear, "no cost to me" meant giving away an 18x17, a housing slot taken up by the AH that couldnt be used for anything else (which i agreed to), i had to change the name of the auction per @Shane so i wasnt affiliated with the server, made to add a header and some color to my posts because it didnt look "professional". I had easily 2mil wrapped up in that "free" spot. And as ive told Shane 100 times i didnt tell anyone to page in, they bitchez at me and i told them there wasnt anything I could do. Ill be the martyr for you guys to set an example of but at least get all the facts straight.

Yes cause calling a dictator out on his false propaganda is always a good idea.

Even if bud told his side he would probably be banned and his response deleted, followed by another of Shane's version of the story.

Having been a victim of Shane's false representation before I will simply say it happens, and everyone ganging up on bud needs to take a step back, and realize you don't know the whole story.

I think you are/were a great asset to the community. Your auctions were great but I do believe they ended up causing a lot of headaches and I'm not surprised it ended on rocky terms.

To be clear I have definitely had my share of complaints with the way different things have gone. Nobody is going to be 100% happy all the time. But it's just a game and shit happens, gotta roll with the punches a bit.

For the record, we offered budcookie protection for his auction for only 100k(keep in mind he was making 500-1mil per auction). He declined our very generous offer and look what happened....

I kept records of how much he made. 100k was about how much he made. Even less after he paid me for working with him lol.
