Depends on who you talk to. Some people are dedicated to wearing full suits. Some say just a couple of pieces is good enough. I wear non exceptional bone ar and legs on my zerk.

Hey thanks for the help. I just took newbied leather tunic and gloves and worked pretty well. was getting the damage reduction more often than I thought I would

Just got a double strike Relic and I can't decide if I should eat it or not. How much better does this relic make your berserker? Is it hard to train? I'm level 3 no relics right now

Katanas are the easiest weps to find.
I'm using the same lj toon for my defense tali and my zerk. Zerk is level 9, about to hit level 7 ds. Def is level four with level two remedy. There's pros and cons to each. On the def tali, I'm using katanas + shield.
As far as I can tell, the def tali is more suitable for farming destard and other places with lots of mobs and less space to run and the zerk is better for over land farming and champs.

Basically you can complete a quest to gain one of two dexer talisman (or a mage talisman). They are Talisman of the Berserker which gives you up to 50% damage increase for a loss of armor and Phylactery of Resilience which provides up to 50% damage reduction. Both only work in PVM. There is more information on the quest and talisman in my signature.
As for the relics, there are 4 unique relics that can be applied to each type of talisman (i.e. 12 total because 4 each per talisman). When applied they provide a unique benefit such as Doublestrike, which procs to cause a single melee attack to hit twice. A full list of abilities and relics can be found in the wiki (also available through the link in my signature).
