Adam

it was clearly visible that the discussions around the zombie event and the latest discussions around statsloss was annoying and tiring to you.

we may be a tiring community, but we don't fail to see how much and how hard you work to make uof what it is. :) UOF would definitely not be what it is today without you. so, here's an official big thank you, for all you do.

pks, trammies, pvper, banksitter, gardener.. what about showing some appreciation for adam's work?

uh guys I already gave Adam one 'thanks' this week, that is all he needs, please get back to bitching about every fucking thing ever

Should we keep this thread going until it turns into someone bitching at the staff?? Hahahaha

But seriously, you guys changed my life and made more of an impact than you think.

I played UO as a kid for s long time, and I quickly found the addictive side of my personality. I am an alcoholic. I was born this way, but that doesn't matter to my wife and kids, who are 4 and 5.

Since the kids were born, my wife and I came to realize that my alcoholism was very detrimental to our relationship, to make a long story short.

I drank up until about 6 months ago almost every day, and my wife and I would get into fights on one of my, very occasional, 'rampage nights'. Afterwords, I always felt the desire to stop drinking, and made an effort and quit.

My wife and I love to drink. We spent a lot of our great times together over a case of beer or a bottle (or three) of wine. I love craft beer.

Ultimately , every time I quit, we would decide one or two would be okay. Then that would become normal to us. Then a fee months down the road I would turn into Billy Badass again.

6 months ago I got sober. I can now drink Yoohoo instead of beer, although I still have dreams about drinking delicious IPAs or Stouts. I still have not drank a drop. My wife still drinks, and I can enjoy myself when I am around her, usually taking up time thinking about UOF and taking breaks to collect BODs or get on the forums.

6 Months ago, I found UOF, and UOF is a huge part of the lifestyle change I made to quit drinking.

Thanks Adam, Shane, and all of you. It may seem that a lot of what you do goes unnoticed or unappreciated, but even so, you all have impacted the world in your own way by leading this fucked up community. Thank you for everything you have done for all of us.

Thanks guys we will continue to pump out new systems and content. Not everyone will always agree with changes or things we add, but trust me when I say everything we do on the server is with the best intentions and if it doesn't work we fix it or replace it with something better.

Adam is a beast he works on the server more than anyone we have ever had in the past. He tries to help with pvp but as everyone knows pvp is not an easy thing to balance. What one person considers balance another considers unbalanced. People will always have their opinions and their will always be whiners. But at the end of the day we will make the decision we see best fit for the server.
