if the item (any item you decide) a lantern, a pair of shoes, a rock..everything..

could be:

90% chance : base hue
6% chance : rare hue
3% chance : super rare hue
1% chance: uber rare hue

1 item (not %, just ONE of a kind) : ultra rare hue one of a kind

what you think about this guy? this prevent ALL the ppl get the same prize..but take the spirit of handouts and make all player happy :)

I think they should use their special spirits script (the one they use for Halloween mobs) and make everyone earn their handout. That way it only rewards people who are actually playing not just those that log in and don't do anything.

THEY said about they will give a free handout..if u dont like it..just logout :) but if some ppl get some free pixle, to collect and make exchange..or deals.. this would be nice!

I'll never understand why the people that were actually on and affected when it happened could lose out on the handouts if they can't be on at the time of the giveaway...meanwhile even ppl that weren't on at all during the downtime can have 3 accounts logged in and get 3x something for losing nothing...

All this idea really does is push people towards creating massive amounts of vpn's and new accounts which leads to bannings etc.

I also think one person getting an UBER RARE item just because we have some down time ONCE in a blue moon is kind of not balanced (seriously, we have like 99% uptime, more uptime than large CORP game companies).

The mentality that we should act like Santa on Christmas and give away tons of items because of some minor downtime really needs to go imo.

I know other servers have done it for years, and that is why it is a go-to thought for a lot of people when the staff makes a mistake or there is downtime.

Boosted skill gain, boosted gold is MORE than enough, but we will do a handout this time- however everyone will get the same handout.

In exchange it kind of makes us feel bad every time something goes wrong, or down. We all get stressed over the server because everyone flips out and demands uber handouts when something goes wrong which is very, very rarely. When you think about it, we really shouldn't feel bad, and no one should be making us feel bad. You play here for free, and we do our best.

Any ways, the original concept asics through up here would not work. This is a prime example of thinking for yourselfs and not thinking of what is best for Ultima Online Forever as a whole.

Why should the guy who gets the 1% rare item deserve that over the guy who gets the 90% rare item, and knowing this, some guy who barely plays, wasn't even on last night would get that 1% item and be rich on here due to that?..

/end rant.

Handouts are dumb and will never be fair. It's the nature of them. That's why I think for revert rewards in the future put a few items on special spirit paragons and turn them on for a day or so. That way people have to go out and earn their handouts. And those that are playing are the ones that get the rewards.

I don't even know why we are getting a hand out for a few hours of down time. It's not like there was a huge revert.

maybe not a uber or rare hue.. just take 10 common hue.. same chance..at least not all the player get the same hued :) but everyone get the same "value" of rewards...


btw you know i wasnt talking for myself..but i was talking about the community..having some rares should be nice for collecting, but maybe ths is not the case ;)

i never asked for handout..u said you will do.. and i suggest a thing.. one day server crashed and we lost 120 taming 115taming 115 fishing and we never complainted.. its free..we just enjoy the game..wasnt a rant..just a suggestion ;)

i dont understand why the handout is at US Primetime when the Server was mostly at Asia/EU time down
