I probably didn't explain that well, but many people out solo farming, and running into each other, makes for activity and interaction.. a guild all clustered together in the middle of no where, getting free loot doesn't really... Not interaction between other groups of people.
I think the ettins were necessary due to scavenger (which can't be used to loot really good items at other activities). Other than that, I really don't have a horse in the race of if 50% of the loot should go to over land spawn. If i had to make a call, I'd say 50% should just be deleted... That items should decay off the server over time, creating demand for new items to be crafted and made, so that an economy could thrive, and some of these insane gold amounts could get consumed.
I wouldnt be opposed to seeing 25-30% of the loot being deleted, or even chest over a certian weight. I really dont think scavenger is a problem in my opinion, but thats just me. And for the interaction part, at idocs you get guild on guild and player on player combat. I was at an idoc yesterday which had 5 different guilds there 2/5 brought reds.
