Today there was over 25+ factioners all fighting at the same time around brit.

Its time to make the changes to this shard field pvp wise that are needed.
#1 Remove all the bullshit animals/monsters west of green mile, no one goes there except factions to fight and its really annoying and serves no purpose
#2 casting times- fast casting needs to be put in. Fast Cast really makes people step their field game up as well as 7x up (which honestly is the only real form of dueling that takes more skill then ping)
#3 this random explo timer....


UOF in the past month has turned into the top tier field pvp shard in the F2P UO market, allot of thanks goes out to all those who have put in work to recruiting, teaching, helping, joining, and participating.

Its time to take it to the next level and fix the field pvp mechanics here so we can continue to evolve into the top tier pvp shard UOF should be.

Fastcast is nice, but if it was added I'd like to see higher weapon damages across the board. Here's a short list of some things I think would be beneficial to add this February:

1) minus explo timer
2) plus fastcast
3) plus higher weapon min/max dmg across the board
4) light boost to GHeal pot min value
5) remove stamina loss when moving over hidden players or animals, but keep the messages
6) decorate the towns for spring, points will be earned for good use of cherry blossom trees
7) add ability for item id wands to also give information about item creation date/amount in existence
8) make it so on death any loose potions on the corpse (not inside a container) get deleted.

I DO think we need to change some things field wise tho.

First, whether blue, green, purple, red or yellow, I do not think people should be able to hop gates, go into houses, or recall out WHEN FLAGGED. (if someone is attacking u, DEAL WITH THEM OR RUN AWAY INTO TOWN)

I think ONLY blues with ZERO murder counts should be able to RECALL out if flagged.

Second, I think poisoned weapons need a limit to how many times they can poison a person in a fight. People run around with 5 dped weapons and wait for u to run out of cure pots... dumb

LAST, WE NEED STACKED POTS (excluding xplos)

I think Jack makes allot of good points here and honestly all of what he says should be considered he is a veteran field pvper with tons of knowledge and anything he says should honestly at least be looked at and taken into consideration.

Oh and one more thing! I think for reds having their heads cut - the rules should change.

Instead of having 3 mins to buy back your head for the "insta" buyback, make it a time sensitive thing FOR EVERYONE (whether the box is checked or not).

As we all know, some people rage log. For those rage loggers out there, the heads should INCREASE in value over time, then gradually decrease (because if someone has 2 hours left for their head, they shouldnt have to pay a higher price).

For example. To buy ur head back within TEN minutes should cost 25k, 10 min - 24 hours should be 50K, after 24 hours it moves back down to 25k. But always, always give them the chance to buy it back.

Reds getting stated makes people log off the game, and often they come back to find out they were statted hours after they actually died.

Implementing this will increase the number of users on the game at any given time... trust me.

People come back, find out they're still statted, and just log out again. Give them a chance to get it back and for their killers to make a good profit!

Let alone... PK's are PVPers, enticing action and keeping others on longer because they create action. Think about it.

Yes, please, turn this into hyb so we can all have another example of why even shards that sell straight gold can still fail hard in the presence of a better shard that is much more user friendly.

Let alone... PK's are PVPers, enticing action and keeping others on longer because they create action. Think about it.

You really think reds will be out creating action if you force them to play as noto only else can't evade zergs? Doubt it.

I like idea of making fast casting more necessary than it is right now, but I feel like it would require a lot of changes if we do it OSI-style. However, I don't think this should be priority 1. I'm not against it, but I also like the system as it is which isn't bad in my opinion.

I hate the spawns, so definitely agree about 1st. The random explosion timer isn't necessary either.

I agree with @Jack Merr about recall / houses / gates. At least I'd do the same housing rules for all blues, greys and reds. 0 murderer count idea is awesome. Also, his other ideas are worth considering.

Yeah i totally forget about redline stam and i 100% agree with it

cry threads? nah i had fun first time loggin on in a while, was just funny marley and his group had to get the aid of another faction + the random blues to even stand a chance against us 4 lol

fastcast delay timer changed to make all pvp higher skill cap.
diminished returns on spell damage so a group of 2 highly skilled players has the potential to take on 4 people without running.
remove random explo timer and change it to 3 seconds standard
add delay over distance on eb damage so positioning makes a difference and running offscreen would put you at a disadvantage also increases skill cap in duelling.
don't allow pots to be thrown through double handed weapons and at the same time stop stun punch from stopping people from swinging [meaning dexers can time there hits to disturb spellcasts] also increasing skill cap and giving more template diversity

give incentive to pvp in town and defend faction bases this will stop people running around the wilderness and actually fighting rather than run a mile and drop.

remove faction statloss completely theres no need for it osi had faction statloss because of the scales of battle
give more pvm and pve incentive to joining factions
allow people to join factions as crafter only to open trade up [as in they are not orange]

create a faction event system of some sort.

fast cast is a simple way to explain

casting delay should be per circle
recovery when disturbed is currently instant so you can hold down a button to recast it
in short like playing aos with 3/4
