I personally have never wanted for anything more than what we have had up until recently. I've always been fine with the way things worked as long as there was nothing exploitable.I agree notes should be posted ANY time new changes happen. It's called patch notes. KEEP THEM UP TO DATE! However between this post and slicks it shows the community has zero idea what it wants.
Not that long ago we were asking for an item to ( from what I gathered in slicks post) give us information on when they were up. In fact if I recall correctly; mess and bromista made an appearance in the thread.. About the time a certain group got called out for running 4+accounts to "solo" rdas and using log out bugs.
The price hinders new players I agree. However newer players aren't going to be able to handle RDA's anyhow, and have to option of joining pve guilds that do, and would most likely have atleast one person with this item. Overall it's a good change I think..

From what I gathered in the other thread was that the porting was a bug. I agree it shouldn't do that.I remember that thread and what is said in this thread doesn't really conflict with the other one. If I remember correctly the idea for the item was just to know if an RDA was up and potentially how many in the world. The problem as I see with this item is that it goes too far. Here is how I feel it went to far:
- It shouldn't tell you where in the world the RDA is.
- It definitely shouldn't teleport you to the RDA.
- It shouldn't tell you who is doing an RDA
Here is what I think it should do:
Obviously it may need a price drop but it shouldn't be an Easy Button for RDAs.
- Tell you how many RDA's are up when used. Maybe add in a cool down (1-2 hours?) so you can't just macro it to get the exact timing.
- The increased drop rate is a cool idea so I would keep that.
the idea before was to simply make RDAs less of a guessing game, before this item you had to camp the Faction gates to know when RDAs spawned. The item that has been added is all about letting the rich have huge advantages over the poor.I agree notes should be posted ANY time new changes happen. RDAs have always meant to be endgame. Metas destroyed UoF economy as soon as they hit the market. The only way to totally recover would be to wipeout all but dono items and start over. The only thing worth getting any more is a relic, or a taming ss or ps. Everything else is pointless.the idea before was to simply make RDAs less of a guessing game, before this item you had to camp the Faction gates to know when RDAs spawned. The item that has been added is all about letting the rich have huge advantages over the poor.
when I started doing RDAs seriously it was me and 3 others, we figured it out and put together a system that through hard work made us able to compete with guilds like $, EQMS, and Power. thats what made RDAs great, small guilds able to compete with the big ones if they put in the work. any of the other guilds or players could have done the same.
this new item caters to guilds like mine (now much larger group than and rich), and $ and Power and EQMS. removing the difficulties that actually made RDAs competitive for small and large guilds. providing increased drops for people able to put up 4 mil. that just helps the rich get richer.
increased drop rates, or aditional gates, should just have been added. especially with the addition of new metas we need more relics on the market or it will fuck it up worse than it is.
All good points.the idea before was to simply make RDAs less of a guessing game, before this item you had to camp the Faction gates to know when RDAs spawned. The item that has been added is all about letting the rich have huge advantages over the poor.

I disagree with not letting "small" groups take down RDA's. Currently we have some stuff that challenges larger guilds, Champs and Dungeon Bosses, since there is a larger PK risk. Champ spawns also provide much better loot than RDA's.All good points.
Though I'd say "small" groups dont really do them anways prior to the changes even. With the exception of you guys(when you were smaller) and whatever MtBowls crew was called (I forgot) (again when it was small). I dont personally think RDAs should be easy for small groups attempting them. It should require a decent sized, well organized, skilled group.
So buff drop rates across the board. Remove that from the item, make sure it doesn't do anything other than say x of 3 are up. And drastically drop the cost. Its 10k to know when a whirlpool is up.

Not sure I can agree that champs give better loot than rdas. Infact I'd say rdas give the better loot.I disagree with not letting "small" groups take down RDA's. I think RDA's should be about the smaller groups since they really don't have anything other than Whirlpools at the moment. If you still have to run the world for RDA's after this item gets tweaked then it is perfect for the small groups since they will have some time to complete it before getting raided.
The increased drop chance I think should stay in since it is a one time cost it is still attainable by smaller guilds/groups if they pool their resources.
I have done a ton of RDA's with T^C and PCH. Mostly its 105's with the odd 110. Generally it is one powerscroll and every so often you get a relic drop but that is pretty rare. You can get 120's but like someone else said in this thread the only 120 that is big money is taming and lore. Pretty sure champ loot is better than that which is as it should be. Haven't really put much thought into reward balanced against number of players. So reward split up evenly amongst all participants (large guild locking it down) you may be right. Not sure I can agree that champs give better loot than rdas. Infact I'd say rdas give the better loot.

RDA relic drop rates are lower than champs, they only drop 1 and sometimes 2 PSs usually 105s, there are not rares, the titles are worthless, and so are the recipes and they only drop 11k gold. they take hours of tracking and are easy to miss. the only reason anyone can argue RDAs are better is because they only drop pet relics. champs drop all relics. Not sure I can agree that champs give better loot than rdas. Infact I'd say rdas give the better loot.

I haven't personally done an rda in a good while, but I always understood it that rdas were the better place to get relics. I could of been mislead though.RDA relic drop rates are lower than champs, they only drop 1 and sometimes 2 PSs usually 105s, there are not rares, the titles are worthless, and so are the recipes and they only drop 11k gold. they take hours of tracking and are easy to miss. the only reason anyone can argue RDAs are better is because they only drop pet relics. champs drop all relics.
relic drop rates are abysmal. i have done 300+ RDAs and only seen i think 8 relic drops.I haven't personally done an rda in a good while, but I always understood it that rdas were the better place to get relics. I could of been mislead though.

Truth is you wanted to run your mouth and you got absolutely embarassed, if you can't take it then don't try to dish it out. I can't believe you are still mad about that though to be honest. Your new picture is suitable for you. This other kid who literally raged is annoying to me. If there is a problem, make a post and express concerns. What pisses me off is this entitled bullshit rage. Not you, Slick Prick or whatever.
sorry but $ didn't abuse anything... only 1 of us bought the stone and noone bought the improvementsTruth is you wanted to run your mouth and you got absolutely embarassed, if you can't take it then don't try to dish it out. If the teleport to RDAs was permanent then it was definitely deserving of rage, and not to mention that it was abused to the fullest as soon as it came out by the typical exploiters. Yes we're looking at you Duck'Face, POWER, $.
