Killed in town while blue

I was on my alt AFK in front of the North Brit mages shop. (I was reading something on forums) I come back I'm dead my body is grey and my mount is no where to bee found... Not really sure where else to post about this but I would like it if something was done about this... if i can't even be safe in town afk not sure I want to keep playing and I know no one will miss me bla bla but this is crazy how could i have turned grey where someone could kill me when I am afk...

Not sure why your corpse would be grey but you can be killed in town if you are to far away from the Npc's that would call the guards....And if a person has a DP weapon they just stab you they get whacked res come back and loot you

Its pretty ridiculous reds cannot do damage in town to blues but blues can do damage in town to other blues...

I was right outside the Mages shop and Like I said my body was grey whille I was afk, all I lost is 2k gold but it's not about the money. I could not give a murder count no option came up for it.

yes iI came back after being A F K I AM DEAD and my body is GREY. can someone tell me how this could have went down in a legit way because I can't think of anything...

Mind you whether blue or grey standing in town not near any npc you can be killed and it can be done without taking a count.

You were 5 screens from brit bank where you can afk safely.

Do NOT afk anywhere other than your (secure) house or one of the sanctioned safe zones or you may lose your life and your loot.

My guess, a guild mate, and after like 2 minutes your body goes grey

Only explanation I can see for the grey corpse is either you had attempted a theft on that char and were perma grey (may appear blue but when attacked turn grey ) or somehow triggered an attack last macro that flagged you to a blue and got you guard whacked.

Checking your journal at the time would have provided note information.

Well none of that applies to me I have never raised stealing and I do not have any attack macros set up... I did check my journal but nothing useful was there...
