i dunno if they fixed it or not but u used to be able to add silver to a weapon and then put the item back in your bank/house.

im not sure if it works as intended tbh i like the way it works and makes the item cool and not deco.

Yeah the silver only lasts until you die, so it's not permanent. Unless you go drop it in your pack again, and make it silver again
