Eliminate PKs

I just wanna say I got the point of "OSI fixed this with Trammel".......that is hilarious cuase its crap like Trammel, insurance, item blessed everything, and artifacts that ruined pvp and killed OSI anyway. I hate listening to people complain about PKs. From a game production stad point, you like it, you just dont know. The threat of PKs makes literally everything you accomplish more valuable and funner to achieve, due to threat of pks. Complaining about loss and pks in UO is like saying...I LOVEEEE atmospheric horror games, but im sick or being scared and dying in them....is there a way to turn off helth and noise so im not scared?

Can we bring back FC/FCR too and insurance??????

PS I wish EQMS just killed and resd for sport lol. Some of them maybe, but I have specifically been res killed for my regs and trolled by EQMS, then again its huge.

When 10 newbs on sallos run into a room holding target acquire with ebolt prepped, yes. A deaf, blind, ******** monkey could do this.

I like this guy, he gets it.

If we could remove target macros (big ask, obviously a new exclusive client is needed), pvp would change over night for the better, large fights would actually be entertaining, zerg's would be completely nerfed, and we wouldn't have the "dead, blind, ******** monkeys" ebolt railing solo players with 1 key stroke 10 tiles away.

Welcome back lol

to the op. i used to be stuck playing inferior mmo's such as wow thanks to a crappy dial up connection. as i ascended the skill up tree i yearned for uo, (my buddy had a high speed connection) i wished it was uo and hoped that this wow game would suffice. the more people i met in safetly the more i wished i could pk them or they could pk me. it got so bad that i started to fantasize about how even a gank 4vs.1 on me would really make my day. that day never came. i was able to quit that game later and was really happy that this instance of uo existsted, so when i get pk'd 8v1 no pots i just stop and think it could be worse... it could be wow. (or a non open pvp mmo)

Problem is ppl would find a way to cheat to use target macros so everyone else would be at a disadvantage., or they would stop playing. Kind of a catch 22 situation

This is how I feel. Go look at any major dungeon room and very few people are there. This is because there is risk, thus keeping the economy in check. Now go back to Trammel, and the hardest rooms were so full of people that there it was actually laggy. Talking 25/30 tamers in the dragon room in covetus and stuff. The amount of gold pumped into the economy sky rocketed..

The whole thread is full of iffy points and ideas...i hate getting ganked as much as the next guy especially in big group events like champs. We have discussed with no traction a faction reward revision, only to have it somewhat nerfed. I dont mind an occasional gank while farming, it happens part of the game etc etc. But if the most expensive items i need are 15 mil and rising each, and the only way to get them is champs/RDA's that are continuously ganked then i have issues. Its a tough life for one of the folks that isnt rich these days. The rich get richer here and thats just the way the economy works. The lack of real pvp due to ebolt rails and scripts to follow the caller is most definitely an issue that could be dealt with though.

I still don't understand how anyone enjoys pvm in this game. It's so simple and boring with zero return.

9000 other free games with way better pvm.

Only fun place to ever pvm was khladun and that's cause occasionally you'd get to pvp a red [emoji73]

if i was better at PVP or wanted to join a zerg it might be fun...but i have little chance of getting better and no desire to do the latter.

There's plenty willing to teach. You should really give it a try. I would help but I don't really play much anymore. But anyone who puts a lot of time into this game killing monsters should really take some time and learn pvp. I do agree you definitely need a mentor. But really mostly in this game is situational awareness. You learn that you are golden

Only thing I think would be nice is make faction characters untargetable and unable to target non faction members. Factions rolling reds killing blues then dying and unable to cut heads is pretty bogus. Keep faction fights faction u wanna play have pks but no faction protection for you. I hate smoking a tb faction red on my blue then can't touch his head cuz he's in faction I want my blood money dammit.
