The player Storm-Crow deserves some sort of commendation

On every occasion that I've run into Storm-Crow, he's been doing something that exclusively benefits other players. As far as I can tell, when he isn't at champs healing/resurrecting pets and players (regardless of whether he knows them, or the guild that they're in), he's hunting for loot that he donates to the new-player's box by the Brit bank. He's clearly among the very few players who have dedicated more of their play time to other players than to themselves and whose efforts make UOF a better place to play.

It'd be swell if his work were acknowledged somehow (perhaps in the form of a title, an item, or the opportunity to serve as a councilor).

Storm has been helping new players for a very very very long time. It not only benefits these new players, but also the shard itself. It can be tough for new players to start out with nothing at all, and Storm helps these young players as much as possible and as often as possible which also helps to precent people from quitting out of frusteration when they first start on UOF.

I think it would be a REALLY cool idea -- if staff collected items from players..and after a certain amount of time - staff can put these items on display somewhere and hold some kind of an 'awards ceremony' with presenting all of these items to Storm. This would allow everyone that he has helped to give back to him and say thanks. If this is done - i will surely be one to donate items towards this....and i bet a lot of others would too.

If I remember correctly the words uttered to me from good old saintly Storm-Crow were :

Storm : "F**king get a life, I have nothing to steal so why are you bothering me? I will report you if you don't stop harassing me"
Me : "Report me for snooping your pack once? Please, go ahead."
Storm :"Fine, blocked"
Me : "You really break my heart kind Sir, time to call PETA regarding your mistreatment of your wolves"

Storm : *Moves to different area*
Me : *Refuses to pursue, knows the tactics that people play to get others in trouble*

This happened around 6-12 months ago.

Not taking anything away how he helps new players, just putting my point across that sometimes people who are looked at like sheep with golden fleece can sometimes be hiding alternative motives... Take this however one wishes, conspiracy or truth, follow blindly at one's own peril!

i agree we should remove thiefs from UO aswell as PKs. fancy taking away someones pixels. i hate it when someone takes my UO pixels it makes me want to cry IRL.

Dude I was so close to stealing a molten yesterday. The stars aligned perfectly and I just missed it. I was pretty bummed. But yeah, this is just further evidence that people like me don't belong here.

The only reason why I mentioned it for is to provide recognition towards what he can be like. I get it, I understand how he goes out of his way to provide assistance to new players *I spent two hours helping a guy who was completely new to UO but there is ALWAYS a catch when a thief helps you and the guy I helped was fully aware of this* (This is known as honesty) ^Quite rare from a thief, eh?^

People do things to advance themselves, make themselves shine bright enough to become recognized by those above and I really have no quarrel or envy of this, but and there is always a but, for someone to move up through the ranks, they also require criticism from things they have done in the past. Consider this a test from God, can one man-up to their past sins and face them with strength and courage to break through the barrier of wrong doing or do they collapse without even trying to justify themselves.

I really do applaud his generosity, not debating that, however, he is not as saintly as people are making him out to be..

You are judged harshest on that one bad deed, compared to the 99 other good deeds. How many other people has he, in the past, spoken to so abruptly and disrespectfully? There have been lots of thieves who have come and gone from UOForever, how many of those thieves has he spoken to the same way? Just because we play as thieves, we are still partly human underneath it all.

Why would I want a thread about me? Most of the time, said threads would be negative anyway and like I said, I do not envy Storm for what he does. However, I find it beneficial that when someone adds a bit of feedback/criticism towards someone, they can *if they want too* face up to said criticism/feedback and put it to rest. It really does not require a troupe to defend him, just himself.

And for the love of god, why are you using the word 'salty'? Does your imagination fall that completely short that you are unable to construct a slightly interesting insult? Guess not eh? Fear not though Sir, you might get there one day!
