How is it even possible that people like you are not banned here?

First thing I hit recall, immediately get interrupted, obviously ... if I have reflect they come melee, if I have reactive they can be mages. That's just a 50% chance that it'll be useful. So in half the cases I might be able to recall. But if I attack them I can't recall anymore, so I can't really defend actively, I can just heal and hope they decide to give up, or that my pets gets in a lucky shot and they move hafl a screen away, in which case I have to get lucky enough to recall with the pet, since he was half a screen away in combat. I might get away with my 2k gold, but the pet stays there and dies anyway in some cases.
Apparently I needed to add in, use your pet ball.. If you're always failing to get away, you're doing something wrong. Period. Now if it's stealth pks. Ok ill give you that, but if you can't survive that with pokemon, you should invest your time looking for a tram server, or new game.

As for why I don't get banned. It's simple. I only come off as a dick to stupid cry baby fucks who cant handle this game, and even then I dickslap you with knowledge on how to be better.

Instead of getting so butthurt all the time like the little bitches you all are,l. You'll actually start taking the advice given to you.

Also I didn't say reactive armor. I said PROTECTION. Maybe look into what that spell does for you?

I mean I must be doing something wrong here. I can run ingenious treasure maps and maybe pull off 70k in a hour if I am pushing really hard, but that's with using 2 characters simultaneously with a level 6 and level 7 meta.
You must be really bad

...... You're struggling to do two maps an hour? With two tamers? ..... How? Does it take you 40+mins figure out where the map is?

Seriously not even being a dick here. I don't get how it takes you that long with two metas.

That's three maps. I am including the cost of the maps at around 15k each and the time to sell the crap items.

Dexxers have to buy new weapons and armor when they die.. Mages have to travel in groups of at least 2 to be effective against more than 1 opponent unless there is spawn to help plus they have to buy new armor & 80+ pots.. And ...

And tamers have to pay it all up front with hundreds of hours of non-macroable grinding.

(not to mention tamers need to buy new armor and pots like the others you mentioned)

.... Really? A bard archer pulls that in, you're really going to try to debate that pokemon cant?

Stop trying to argue for the sake of arguing. You're not good at it.

Rofl calling out bs man. You think it can be done prove it. I got 1 mil gold check for the first person to record themselves making 100k in an hour. No items, no help, no t-maps, no mibs. Gold must be kept in your bank.

Far from true.

My point still stands. You believe tamers should suffer no consequences when they die, period.
No that's not true. When a pet dies he should lose skills. But the skills should be reasonable to rebuild. Most skills are, but resist and magery are not.
PVMERS are PVP bait. Pets can easily be out run... even on a laggy day. Tamers are easily PK d when they have to maintain control of their pets, the spawn, and their own health.
This is NOT crying. .. this is stating the facts. I do not PK and I do not wish to. PVM and farming are my choice of fun in game play.. I don't even mind sharing my wealth with the dastardly thieves and bandits throughout the UO WORLD.

Gems, gold, regs. That's all that's worth a damn in maps. The rest gets thrown into crates and after a bunch I id armor, and weps I want. Gems I let gather till 1-200+ of each. Cuts down on your time.

Making a macro to loot the chest(but not all at once, I've made that mistake) should cut it down even more. Non the less. Let's assume you don't make 100k an hour in maps. You're more safe doing maps then farming dungeons.

Personally as a tamer, I use a beetle, mare combo. I have two books I use to farm with. I goto area a, kill the spawn I'm after, recall to the next, repeat till full, drop at house, continue with books. After I've hit every spot. I wait for my pets to regen all there mana, and repeat.

Doing this, even though I farm in high traffic areas, I almost never get bothered. The times that I do, it's normally 1-2 people who die to my pets everytime. If you can't fight back and win vs 1-2 then when you get back up, skip the rune where reds were spotted for a bit.

  1. Think you're missing the point. This thread isn't about fighting back and winning. It's about perma-stat loss being applied fairly to all classes.
  2. That said. I could use your argument to argue for perma stat loss for reds:
You argued: 'Who cares if your pets get perma stat loss. If they can't fight and win, then go to a shittier dungeon.'

You could just as well have argued: 'Who cares if reds get perma stat loss. If they can't fight and win, then just go fight shittier players'.

I have auto sort and auto loot macros set up in steam. It is 100% streamlined. I know exactly how to do it the most efficient way possible. I have been at this game for a pretty long time. Ingenious chests spawn ancient wyrms and balrons though, often times paragon. Even with two metas and one of them being provo it takes a lot of time.

You should try a meta dexer/mage. It's much faster than anything I can pull off with a WW/Meta combo for gold per hour. Especially if you throw slayers into the mix. It gets almost laughable how much higher the damage is on my meta archer than my level 7 meta (beyond QS procs). And he cost me a grand total of about a million gold.

But I don't want meta tamers to be stronger. Not at all. I just want the skill loss to be chilled down. Make it .1 per death instead of 1%, make skill loss temporary, or increase skill gain speed and allow resist and poisoning to go up naturally. Any of those would be fine. I would even be fine with meta dragons taking up 4 slots if they increased the damage of the level 7 to make up for losing out on the WW/nightmare damage if that's what it took to get 1% statloss replaced.

It's made especially worse for me because I have a terrible connection where I am stationed and I lose connection a lot and have to eat the skill loss over and over. I just don't even play my tamer anymore. If I die on my meta-mage, it's like oh well some regs, big deal.

As for the idiots throwing around the word balance. Seriously give it up. You clearly have no idea what the word means.

Exactly!

Balance is when people who put in 2 hours at their keyboard grinding up a red don't suffer a loss when they die but the people who put in 100s of hours grinding up a tamer do.

That's balance.

The time and money invested are irrelevant

ok so if a pet dies and is statted, it should be unplayable for 48 hours by your logic.

I'm all for that type of "temporary stat loss"
