Worth playing as EU?

Hello guys,

I am new and I never tried Ultima Online before.

I wanted to try this out since it sounds nice.

But since it is US only, how is latency for EU citizens?

Also, does your character gets deleted if you are not playing for too long?

Many people here play from the EU, if your connection isn't terrible you shouldn't notice significant latency. There isn't such a latency advantage that it makes up for skill unless you're facing somebody with a terrible connection. This wasn't true when UO first came out, and people with poor connections moved at a snail's pace - which would still happen (but not as badly) here, if you had a connection as if it were still 1997.

I don't think you're penalized for inactivity unless you don't refresh your house, if you manage to get one. But that's just a basic game mechanic not necessarily a penalty for inactivity. You could be active and just not go to your house for the same result..

Playing from EU is fine and actually many people do it (me too).
There is not account decay, but there is house decay, so pay attention if you plan on becoming a house owner.
