I forgot to unlock a statue and made a change to my house. Now the statue has gone. Does it get auto deleted or is it placed somewhere in storage safe?
What happens to locked down items when you customise your house?

it gets moved outside your house under the house sign if it isnt locked down
if it is locked down, it gets placed into storage box if your new customization interferes with the locked down item
if it is locked down, it gets placed into storage box if your new customization interferes with the locked down item

Thanks, it was locked down. But I cannt find the storage box it's in. Is it a random chest in my house or some kind of special box?

double click your house sign and look through the menus for storage box

yeah it should be a Wooden Crate and that should be locked down on your steps after

Be careful with customizing your house.. I learned the hard way, lol.
Was customizing my house and tons of stuff and chests was moved out to that holding crate.. I had no idea how that worked. I went afk for a few during the customization, came back and a dude had pack horses there and was helping himself to all my goodies. I lost well over 300,000 worth of stuff... and him taking it was NOT a crime. Anything that goes to that holding crate is free-for-all basically.
If you do notice anyone at the front left side of your home while you are customizing, good chance they are sorting through your pixel-possessions. Rather then running out there fighting them for your own stuff, simply double click your house sign in this situation and under the storage window, click "Move Storage Crate To You" or something along those lines. It will immediately move all your belongings that were outside immediately back inside to your feet. (You must exit your house customization to do this) After you do that, feel free to attack the "innocent and blue" thief, or whatever you are gonna do. lol.

Well you should say something about that be cause that crate should be secured to only the house owner

wtf I gotta test this I didn't think you could even see the crate unless you are house owner?
Stuff not locked down goes under the sign when you enter customization mode. Anything that is locked down and then you place a wall on it goes into the moving crate.
