Why is weapon damage so low, I mean sure it works great when someone has no armor on but as soon as someone throws on some basic armor the weapon damage because shit, I know i'm going to get flamed for this because everyone plays a alch mage, but I mean come on where is the diversity.I was running around with a vanq spear hitting for low 5'S with a vanq long spear really ? I think my best hit on the guy was maybe low 20'S .. I really think some of the coding is off, damage wise, I mean i hit someone for a 10 damage E-bolt .. and my explode did a whooping 13 damage this has happend many times , I understand that we have resisting spells for a reason but why so random on the damage for everything but explode pot's if you have GM alch you know you're going to get pretty consistence damage with explode pot's that's why i feel as if this server is more geared towards a alch mage more so then anything.. I like the idea of no crazy wand action I don't see pvp tamers running around that's all great but I feel as if the damage is a little to weak in some areas.. weapons could use a good upgrade.. pvp wise you see maybe 5% dex 5% weapon type mage users and 90% alch stun mages or scribe alch but the majority of game play for pvp involves alchemy.

It's not necessarily a simple damage issue.. High end runics can hit for 75+ with no armor, so armor received a buff to sort of even the playing field. The problem now is that with high armor (50+ in leather is achievable..) anything less than a gold runic is hitting very very soft. With Valorite runics and runic armor in play, it is not going to be possible to "balance" the damage. I'm not complaining at all, I am just stating the issues. I will say the stam drain was a move in the right direction. Also Para blows are brutal.

I can't really take your melee damage numbers as credible because I'm 100% sure that ebolt damage does not go as low as 10 or 13. If you don't have GM eval, that's another story. But with GM eval I've never seen 6th circle spell damage go below 15.

I think the damage is fine really. I get a lot of trash pks trying to kill me when I'm farming in dungeons on my macer, and I don't carry anything too incredible. Maybe a bronze or copper runic or a force slayer weapon, and I do pretty reasonable damage to these garbage pks and they pretty much always end up running. Most are wearing some kind of armor, though obviously I don't stop to scope out exactly what they are wearing while I'm fighting.

The good thing about macing also is the longer you fight them, the more damage you do because you rape their armor so quickly. You don't really want to get in an extended fight with a macer. Nope.
