Currently there are some tools that do not take the color of what material they are crafted with. There also is no real benefit to using other materials. Making an exceptional item has a chance to increase how many uses the item has.
So I propose to add charges per material + exceptional.

Exceptional Bonus = +? - ?

Metals
  • Dull Copper = +20- 25 Charges
  • Shadow = +30 - 50 Charges
  • Copper = +40 - 75 Charges
  • Bronze = +50 - 100 Charges
  • Gold = +60 - 125 Charges
  • Agapite = +70 - 150 Charges
  • Verite = +80 - 175 Charges
  • Valorite = +90 - 200 Charges
Woods
  • Oak = +20 - 50 Charges
  • Ash = +30 - 65 Charges
  • Yew = +40 - 80 Charges
  • Heartwood = +60 - 125 Charges
  • Bloodwood = +70 - 150 Charges
  • Frostwood = +90 - 200 Charges

I could just leave the durability the same as it is now and use that number for valorite. Then make all the rest worse and worse.
