The value of donation coins

I get the general feeling that despite the recent awesome raffles we've had, and the current item bless deed raffle running, the server is still flooded with donation coins. The Christmas offer may have played a big part too.

I keep seeing a lot of people trying to sell dono (including me) and I think I saw someone sell at 150k yesterday, maybe out of desperation. I can't remember the last time I saw dono valued at 150k.

@Shane any plans to add new dono items soon or other ideas to keep the market moving?

As you may see via forum search, one year ago donos cost was 150k and even a little bit lower

Honestly i think thats a wonderful idea !

It will be a win-win situation for everyone !

Rare collectors have a chance to obtain rare donation items , the server generates revenue , keeps the value of donation coins stable !

Yea.. add a 1/1000 chance to get a yard of ultra white/blaze and trammys go cray cray .. there could also be the slight chance to get an item that is permanently removed from the dono vendorz, and prices could be changed up every month or so (haha..).

Bad idea... people spend far too much time as it is playing poker, if you add another addictive gambling option then you get even more time spent gambling and less time playing UO....imho of course.

Or you could realize everyone plays the game a different way and may enjoy playing things like poker or having a slot machine for dono items in this type of environment.

I will be updating the donation vendor this week, this is why i haven't done Donation Tiers yet also hehe.

It doesn't take much to get donation coins to go up in value, a few nice items on the donation vendor and that's it.
I wouldn't worry too much about it though, as someone stated a year ago it was at 150k/1k
It fluctuates just like an economy should, 140k-190k

I should add we could never put an item bless deed on the dono vendor. Would be really bad. Only a few blessed weapons should exist based on our population.

With that said people are always welcome to PM me with idea's they may have for the donation system.
