Taming skill gains

If I GM animal lore *before* I start training taming, will this adversely affect me? I think I remember reading once that it will actually force me to tame harder creatures to get gains (thus throwing off the list I'm using on what to tame).

Any input on this would be helpful

every time i've trained taming i lock my animal lore at 99.9. not sure if it helps..but it makes me think it does..so mentally it makes me happy

Why would you gm it before you start taming?

When you´re at ~75 taming you will be gm lore
