So with the houses I have that's 920 + 489 giving me 1409 Secure storage. Just because you cant place a large house don't mean you cant place 2 smalls and still have room left to cry about not having more room

Just because you use a house solely for storage doesn't mean others do. I wanted a house I can start customizing and invest time and gold into. It's not just about the storage.

UOF has its own economy. Supply/demand dictates how much an item sells for or a house determined by the location and size. If someone wants 2 EMPTY castles that is their choice...instead of crying about it like a immature child, work at it for a while and earn the house that you want.

In the prime of UO the housing prices were MUCH MUCH higher, atm the housing market here sucks because the demand is so low.

I still am in awe that someone would be whining about something like this the first week on the server, like wow what is wrong with people???

What is the relevance that I've been playing a week? In fact, more power to me, I've been playing a week and already I have 2 7x gm chars and a steady income of several hundred K a day.

Furthermore, work towards what? In case you missed the whole point of the post, the FEW 18x18 available on the forums have blockage at the front or the sides. Why would I want to spent 1mil on that?

And you're ridiculous if you think it's okay for someone to have several empty castles just because they want to. Then again, judging by the tone of your post, I know exactly what type of person you are.
Which brings me to the point, I'm crying like an immature child? I think you need to reread your own post, you're foaming at the mouth like a 15 year old. I made a constructive post about the lack of medium and large spots on this server, which no one can deny.

there are lots of houses available, also plenty of max storage plots for sale. you don't want an 18x18 then buy it and resize it.

I guess you missed the point that I would quite happily farm the gold for a decent house plot and location. It's funny your immediate assumption is that I just want it handed to me, when the fact is, there is no decent supply.

If I had the time and patience to produce area-by-area of my UOAM showing you all the houses placed in areas that would fit a 18x13(or more) plot. As it is, I hold you in no regard whatsoever so I won't waste my time on it.

Suffice to say, I checked the entire border of the world, from East britain to the forests of sacrifice,, Lizardman fort, surrounding area of every mountain, every island, up to the mountains of Minoc, onto the forests of Yew, all of the forests up to Skara and the shore and mountainwall by Shame, down to Destard, the Lizard fort, all the way down to Valor and then the forest to the south, Trinsic, and back up to Britain, all the while moving into the forest and checking the clearings.

Get off your obnoxious high horse of assumption, and accept that I spent 3 solid hours checking all of the world, instead of the "nice spots" you're assuming.

I recommend you check the housing WTS area of the forums. Perhaps you'll reconsider this ludicrous idea that there are "plenty of nice houses and plots for sale"

Last but not least, stop derailing my thread. If you have nothing constructive to say except flame and spew bullshit like " stop whining" (except my post is constructive and demonstrates a clear problem), go do something else.

What is preventing people from having more than 2 accounts? I have 2 accounts currently that I have characters on, but there has been a number of times I have typed in my user name incorrectly and it seemed like it would allow me to make another account/more characters.

I guess I am just curious to know if it is possibile that people have more than 2 accounts and if it is something the staff looks at.

It reminds me, something my freeshard used to have is taxes. The bigger your house, the bigger the taxes. Also created an additional goldsink.

Failing that, a 1house limit per account would definitely help. Not sure if this is already in place? Vaguely recall reading that somewhere, might have been on another server though.

I suppose you have a valid point, castles do have the highest storage, and some people only want the storage and care little for customization.
Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure there's lots of houses out there that are actually empty.

-nice 18x18 is 2 mil, so maybe 5 days of playing? 18x13 is maybe 800k.

So what is the problem? Do you think supply and demand means you can demand something and someone is obligated to supply it?

They just fucked with idocs so they all drop on the same day, making the house market kind of lopsided. Wait another week and watch the selling forum, I bet you will find a house you like.

If you want to go place a great location max storage with no problem, go play UOAC and enjoy the solitude.

There is not much supply at the moment due to the consequence of house stages being reset. Of all the non block max storage houses that were placed over the weekend, they all sold instantly for a premium price.

Come back next week, or wait for the house stage issue to correct itself and you will start to see quality max storage houses sold regularly.

LOFL^^^, 2 smalls is sufficient, upgrade 1 down the road, upgrade 2nd down the road. I've been on this server since early December I believe and I have 1 house, a tower. It was originally shared with friends even. I was actually surprised at how quickly I got a tower... and for the price I paid I could have gotten a 16x16 or 18x18 even... it was easier than I thought it would be. I don't think the issue is as big as people are acting... I do think some people are turning huge profit off flipping IDOCs though... but meh, anyone else could be doing that too if they put in the work.
