So when is the right time to throw an explosion potion?

I see some people make explosion potions into human heat-seeking missiles, and I can't seem to time it right. What is the correct time to throw?

It depends on your ping. If you have a good connection you'll. want to throw it on the 2 right before it changes to 1.
Best bet is to get a keg and run around throwing pots at monsters till you get the right timing down.
Sometimes it's easier to break the 2 down in your head to 4 .250 sec counts, so when the 2 pops up you can count 1,2, then throw the pot. You want to through it at the lastest possible time.

I doubt he even tried to learn how to throw pots, he just likes to blame his deaths on someone else's scripts. My bet is he's just another disgruntled 30+ year old man.

Just like @thestand said, I do it like pot timer 3 (count in my head 1, 2) pot timer 2 (count in my head 1, Throw!) \

Basically 4 "one, two" 3 "one, two", 2 "one, throw!"

I'm 28.. and clearly trolling.

I'm sure it's still possible to script explo pots, but disabling the journal checks in steam a long time ago probably cleared up most of that. It's actually really easy to get used to throwing them.. take 10-20 pots and practice.

I probably miss on 1/5 but that's because I'm too busy looking at where someone is running to instead of paying more attention to the timer.

Journal checks were only disabled for non system journal entries. Explosion pots create system journal entries.

This is true for both Razor AND UOSteam.

Truth of the matter is, anyone using explosion potion scripts probably is not going to be someone you have to worry about in PvP.

I love it when you see someone run by with a purple pot chasing them like its the end of the world or merlins apprentice ring makes me giggle everytime. That's just one of those classic moments you will only find in uo lol
