Is smelting ore based off of mining or blacksmith

Pretty sure smelting only requires Mining
Also for reference, the success chances for smelting colored ore based on your Mining skill is as follows:
(Mining skill >120 can be obtained with BOD reward Mining Gloves)
I don't this was changed on UOF so it should be the same chance.

If I were to obtain up to 120-125 mining, will it yield more ore per spot? Or does that not affect?

Do you get double ingots for the ore you smelt at 120.0? If that's the case I better go get Mining on my mule.
