Agreed and sorry for going off topic.
I think this thread is a discusion that the player base needs to have because i do beleive to location of the poker tables affects game play.

I'm a regular at the tables and I agree it'd be awesome to move it to a lesser traveled city and get traffic there as well

Since Magnicia like doesn't even have building on this shard, Why not move all gambling there and make it the gambling center? You could create all new buildings there,
Make gates with big fucking burly ass scallywag type guards that charge u a entrance fee to get in. no recalling into the town itself past the guard line.
I mean the town Mag was prolly one of the coolest towns in the game but it like doesn't even exist....
Only problem i see is its a faction town, but i assume that code could be changed and make Occolo a faction town or some other town.

I like the wine room just outside yew bank doors. Its large square right at bank. Perfect for gambling.

The way things are setup now is a very nice progression when people first join the server. They go from the inn, down past the faction guys, to the britain bank, to the poker, which leads them to the west bridge there.
They see trade, community, gambling, and pvp within 30 seconds.
Also for those who say poker has nothing to do with a mmo, you are right. However the amount of VETS poker has brought back to UOF is outstanding. When players have beat it all, power-gamed the crap out of UOF, they then can play POKER if they wish to keep them busy between us adding patches.
Some people also play poker to wait for their guild mates to log in, it's either that or they just don't log in either....
Our numbers have went up over 150-200+ clients online solid, every single day since we made faction changes, added sallos, and added poker.
You're going to need a much, much better argument than that you lag a "little" when you run by it.
Again, another example of a player wanting server wide change because of his/her issue.
If you've noticed i've been pointing out the fact of how many players ask or suggest things lately that are really being suggested for their own benefit and not keeping in mind how much not changing what they are asking for actually benefits Ultima Online Forever as a whole. I really can't stress this enough guys.

I like where poker is ATM, I just think it needs to look a lil better, the high roller table is ight but the other table looks like it was just slopped together in a hurry.

I think poker fits perfectly in UO.
F2P Uo shards are full of addicts and degenerates and poker is a perfect add-on to UO. Its like the mini games in final fantasies but more based on what the community of UO is.
I just think it should be a litte more out of sight instead of right BLAM in the middle of where there is so much pvp going on, maybe stick the table a little further behind the guard builing, and try to make it look nicer it looks like it was made in paint and copy pasted plop right there
