Remove target closest options

How do you propose to take this option out of the UO client itself?

We can introduce a macro in all of the popular clients that "auto recall" the very second a red name comes within 20tiles of us, cool?
Just to keep things, balanced, of course......

Either use the in-game macro creator or dont use anything.
Its basically cheating, but, since its so helpful and convenient people refuse to call it what it is. I enjoy the capabilities of Razor as much as the next guy, but, lets be honest here......it IS cheating.

Having trees cut down to make targeting easier doesn't come across as a blatant cheat to anyone but ME??!! Really??!!

Game play doesn't come down to the craftiest player.....it comes down to the nerdiest macro-maker/client manipulator/speed hacker. (while prevention can be robust, and prolly is, it can always be beaten)

Discontinuing their use would truly level the playing field a bit more but im afraid so many people have gotten used to their cheat clients that would create total and utter exodus.

Sometimes it is really hard to know what is trolling and what is not. You got me there then! I honestly didn't know whether this was serious or not lol. Well... even if you were not serious, some people wants stuff like this happen as you can see.

its not that i look down on it i just think with the spell dmg increase its mildy ******** with zergs spamming Ebolt closest blue/red i never expected change ( i expected hate msgs).

personally i always pull bars so i can change targets quickly on the fly. i also use set friend/enemy/last cos i can set/switch a target while the spell loads.

(Gheal/setLT/mousewheel down as soon as the spell is up ect ect)

the only time i use cycle target is for quick stuns

I'm one of those old-school-bar-fucking-pullers out there... using mostly mouse-click on bar or just set lasttarget and target last.

having installed SALLOS 2 weeks ago and tested it out, sticky bars (or minibars below all characters) is obvious advantage and I refuse to use it.. (yes I play Dark Souls)

also hated the tree hack but nothing I can do but to use it, so as to be on a level playing field as my enemies...

very much prefer to go back in time without these clients and also eliminating all kinds of blessed stuff will make me extremely high as one key thing i luv about UO is the ability to dry loot all shit.. AHH THE PLEASURE

Id happily face any ONE of these clowns with cheat clients stripped; playing classic UO style......the way it was inteded before UO Assist and the likes.......Betcha Id drop a majority of em too. I can hear em now..."You mean I have to DOUBLE CLICK EVERY ACTION I do??!!! Fuck this.....Im taking my cheat client and playing call of duty...." or whatever.....LOL.

Aside from building some non offensive skills (crafters for example) I dont think clients should have ANYTHING that makes PvP easier for one and not the whole because that unbalances things and we know how much we try and keep things balanced here................don't we? Or is the perception true that only tamers and reds get their voices heard? MY verdict is still in the air on this one.........

Id be happy with stripping them ALL from UO. UO was around before them. Make them so only crafters and non offensive templates can use them as to make the more arduous tasks in game (mining, tailoring, etc) a bit easier to level out.

Lets strip those assist tools from ya and lets meet 1v1. Old school style. No "assist" tools AT ALL. Dragging bars.....double clicking every action.....you know.....like the game was originally made before the likes for UO :Assist" et al..........
Ill wipe your ass and show you first hand just how much of an advantage these "assist" tools offer ......then you can tell me using those clients isn't cheating and gaining an advantage.
I dont use them (PvP macros for auto heal auto cure et al)
I know FIRST HAND these "assist tools" as you like to call them, do, indeed, offer an advantage to the user.
Which, by very definition, is cheating.
It takes away from the game play and makes it ALL rely on who can make a macro. Not who can play the game the best. Which is lame and detracts from the overall gameplay of the shard. Whether you like it or not....whether you (and others) will admit it or not......these "assist" tools are shortcuts. Cheats.
Feel free to look up the definition for yourself if you have the mental capacity to do so.

The assist tools are there to streamline the the archaic UI of UO. Just because they make things more convenient as per today's standards doesn't mean using them is 'cheating'. It's not like we need the assist programs, but who, in the God's year of 2015, has the time or dedication to stack a pile of coins on a key to train Hiding or manually smash that 'Make Last' button?

I find it ironic that you're telling me to grow up, even though I ain't the one throwing tantrums here. I don't see any reason to get so buttmad over this subject.
