Provo/T Hunter Broken?

Maybe Im just doing it wrong, but with this template:

Magery
Med
Music
Peace
Provo
Cartography
Lockpicking

I can't even solo a lvl 4 T-Map, I have ample experience on ******** doing lvl 5's, so I know it isn't that I'm a n00b, as some might suggest. I noticed that once you get out of a certain range to heal/cure yourself the provo breaks, and you're back to square one. The cooldown on using Provo again isnt low enough, to stand within range of a Lich Lord, Daemon, Dread Spider and a Ogre Lord, and try and heal yourself through the barrage of spells. You have no choice but to run out of range. Someone please fill me in on if this is a mechanics issue, as I'm stating, or simple a strategy issue and Im missing something on how to do these. I've seen numerous people boast how they can easily solo with the template I'm using.

Make sure you are mounted when digging. I usually run after the spawn or hit my auto Provo script, run away but stay within range and then Provo the next mobs. I can solo all the way to lvl 6 (lvl 6 being tough), but I usually bring my meta dexxer and tamer to level with and tank the mobs.

You absolutely do not need peace, trade that in for magic resist. If you are soloing, you will need it, but if you have a tank you can grab fishing to do the mib chests.

Ya, I've already got an archer/fisherman/provo. Is the damage reduction on a Flamestrike from a lich lord that much from 0 to 100 resist?

Make sure you are mounted when digging.

how do you do that? I don't think you can dig unless you're dismounted

my t hunter has hiding/stealth, so I just time my last hit of the shovel before the mobs pop up to hide right away, then i stealth walk out of there, and gate in my meta archer to kill all the spawn. i just bring a slayer bow for each type of mob and can do any chest level easy

edit: also summoning a demon before you start digging gives better odds the mobs will attack the demon before you so you have an extra few seconds before everything agros you

The Daemon summon, is a protip for sure. never thought of that. I'm trying to burn lich lords down with blade spirits, and its brutal.

You left click on map and then click dig and you can dig while mounted. No summons or anything. I solo lvl six this way

I usually have a dexxer or tamer nearby or hidden to kill mobs. I turn em paragon for xp

dual client, get carto and LP off main guy.

you only need gm LP and 70 carto to read and unlock level 6 maps.

with those 2 skills gone you can have a proper thunter template and not fail on 4-5s.

If you can't afford gm lp, 95 skill will unlock all tmap chests just not all paragons

Don't use the same character to pop the chests, and kill spawn...make a stealth thunter, pop chest, hide, disarm...then use a bard/dexxer or whatever character you have, to kill spawn, while thunter stays safely hidden.

my thunter is magery/stealth/hiding/lockpick/mining/detect hidden/ with some med mixed in...great character for stealth mining, detecting thieves at IDOCs or wherever, and good for when you need that stealth character...ie Hyloth boss. Well worth using a char slot imo.

I pretty much run everywhere solo, so it will be quite some time before I'm able to take on any Hythloth boss.
I was actually considering combining my fisherman and my T-Hunter into one and just making a tamer, and dual clienting.

My fisherman currently:

Magery
Music
Provo
Peace
Archery
Tac

My T-Hunter build I posted above, but was considering moving LP and Carto over to this fisherman and the result would be:

115 Fishing
Magery
Archery
Tac
LP
Carto
Hiding

Any input on if this would be viable, would be greatly appreciated.

Also, remove trap seems unnecessary because I can cast Telekinesis from a safe distance and pop the trap, without taking damage.

you are correct, mining, remove trap, detect hidden, etc all that stuff you don't need

if you use a rune library mining is pointless, it just expands the area of your digging

my template is

carto
lockpick
hiding
stealth
magery
med
eval

my guy can do up to level 3 chests I think solo just by dropping a couple energy vortexes, otherwise I gate my archer in to kill the spawns

but this template is also great for picking chests in dungeons

and I believe you are correct on all of them...
but with all the changes and the little time I get to play others opinions are worth MUCH more than mine....

i built a thunter off a miner template, so, I wasnt sure how it all worked.

carto you might only need 80 of to decode (eventually) all of them...(not sure) so there might be some points to use elsewhere as well

I've heard that as well, that you may only need 70-80 carto to read all maps, but haven't tested.. I worked too hard to get my carto trained to test it out haha, someone else try and report back!

and then there's the idea you might only need 95 lockpicking

so potentially you could save 35 points to put into something else

and if you max out a 120 powerscroll i guess you can re-distribute those points into other things? so maybe up to 55 skill points you could have to put in something
