Prospectors tools

Prospectors tools, what are they and how do you use them? can anyone explain this to me pls,?

Prospector tools are designed for miners, to raise the level of colored ore vein by one level.
I.e when you have a Verite ore vein, after using the prospector tool, that same ore vein is changed over to give Valorite.
Also it's good to mention that the prospector tool doesn't have any side effects (occasionally spawning ore elemental), what the Gargoyle pickaxe possess.
It's possible to raise the level of ore vein by two, when the prospector tool is used in combination with Gargoyle pickaxe.
