Yeah the lack of diversity is a bit of a bummer. UO didn't initially have much diversity, but I don't think that recreating what was great about UO ~2000 depends on preserving that shortcoming.

I would be all for rennasaince specific era shard, but just that a complete copy. UOF really is the best server .out there, and loosely based .on early 2000's UO. But since it still has plenty .of custom content, just forget the whole poison arrow thing and customize archery a special move. Again moving shot or Preferably Dismount.

Maybe this could be a slow transition into adding/testing dismount, Yes skill specific but could be a way to reinvigorate archery into the pvp scene also. @Shane. Any thoughts? Thanks.

No doubt. I can't imagine playing another. But like you're saying, it's gone so far into becoming its own (better) thing, the 'purity' aspect is gone. Keep what's good about early 2000 UO and keep improving on it. Diversity is one way to do that.
