Pet follow speed

Has anyone noticed about a 2/3 reduction in pet follow speed? You use to be able to walk (mounted) and your pets would keep up, but now they are quickly left behind.

So pks were dying to pets and complained or was this effecting organized pvp?

A lot of both.

Also the only real pet v. player nowadays is just stun tamers with a mare... So you don't have to deal with hauling a slow ass dragon around, but apparently in kingdoms stun tamers are being removed, so hopefully that'll disappear as well. Really annoying pvping against pokemon

We lowered pet speed for two reasons.

1. They were too fast on blue characters (even eppy agreed)

2. In our new Kingdoms system we can't have a disparity in pet speed between non faction players and faction players. This is the main reason for the change.

Read the updates thread maybe?
Why do your own research when you can be spoon fed information?

Too many "I HAVE THE RIGHT ANSWER, TEACHER PICK ME! PICK ME!!" kids nowadays (those doing the spoon feeding) that facilitate the lazy "spoon feed me" behavior.

Seriously one of my pet peeves...

I vote for free stuff, so why not have the same expectations for my games? #yeswecan #strongertogether

Has anyone thought of making (is it possible?) pets having variable speeds? Wolves, or small creatures having a greater speed than the large clumbsy dragons?

I can understand not wanting to over-use powerful creatures in PvP, but having wolves or giant serpents wouldn't be terrible; they are easy enough to kill and don't hit very hard.

Taming shouldn't be an 'I win' button in PvP *cough, cough* E-Bolt *cough, cough* but it shouldn't be completely useless either.

I was going train a pack of hellhounds but it seems like the pack instinct bonus damage doesn't work here.. Same with two mares, no pack bonus damage

@eppy @Shane @halygon

I was under the impression that pack instinct was on this shard, is this not the case? Has it been changed?

The pack instinct name doesnt matter. What matters is that the name matches your other pet. Two equine instincts get pack bonus. Two unique instincts get bonus. One unique and one equine do not. etc etc

I recall they all have to be attacking the same target. Also, at 20% bonus to mares, it may be too negligible to tell (24 as opposed 20, for example).

On the other hand, 100% bonus on 5 canine pack instincts should be easily tested.

Which leads me to my next question: what is the strongest 1 slot pet with insticts?
