One skill going down, but none going up?

I was training tailoring in the Brit Sewers. Skill was at 114.5 to start with. I am at my 715 skill cap, and I have cooking skill around 45, with it selected "down" (tailoring is selected "up". After about 600 hides, I notice my cooking skill had went down 0.2, but no other skills went up. I watched while I went through another 300 hides, and cooking ticked down again (now down a total of 0.3 as shown in Razor "Skills" tab, but NO skill was going up. My total skill points did not change.

I am a bit confused by this. Any ideas?

Firstly, if you are at 114.5 skill you shouldnt be making crap with leather to skill up. Just buy skill scrolls. There is no secondly.

OK, Batman, riddle me how I can use a Skill Scroll from 114.5? Can't use the 120 PS unless I am at 115.0, and I can't eat a skill scroll to gain 0.5.... My skill went up from 110 to 110.5 making suits for my vendor while I was trying to get skill scrolls to get to 120.

Anyway, next day I tried again and it worked fine. Even that night, I got Carpentry up a few ticks. It was just weird, and didn't know if anyone else had something like this happen. Got to 115, at the PS and SSs, and now at 120....WOOT!

Well you could always drop tailoring .5 by raising something else, then SS'ing it the rest of the way. Other than that, dunno what to say
