Old pick up rare System.
Old Idoc System.
I have to agree here. Just returning from a year off. Accidently let my houses fall loaded with rares from years of play. IDOCing used to be a good way to get back into the game without having to have the time to grind for gold. Not a whole lot of incentive to come back when years worth of work is gone. IDOCing used to be a way to do that. The current system is terrible for that. Not even worth it...
I've posted about why our IDOC idea systematically works better than what we had before. Our Idoc system works, it doesn't please everyone but it works and spreads out loot for everyone instead of those who seek out IDOCS only.
Please make the stealable rares blend in the environment better.
This is a system i personally looked at in depth for almost 2 months straight watching the same guilds get everything over/over/over... The amount of loot the top guilds got out of IDOCS in those 2 months was absolutely insane.... Like INSANE.
This was a couple years ago mind you, but this still applies today. How it works is each item has a 50/50 chance at going into a world loot pool or dropping on the ettins. This might not appease everyone, it factually works incredibly well. A newbie can kill a zombie in a graveyard and a chest with 20 vanqs or a bunch of really rare items can be found on it from the idoc system.
Idoc system works, and most importantly- it's fair.
As for the pick up rare system i'm not sure what you mean by that. If it's like stealables, we have stealable rares in game again already.
The problem with this now a days is people edit their client files locally to change the entire graphic of a stealable rare so when they see it on their client it shows up as say a huge blob or something (making it entirely easy to find).I would like to see daily rares. It seems the rares spawn weekly or monthly. The older rare system was far superior and more fun compared to the current one.

Unfortunately things have changed since the 90's when stealable rares were a huge thing.
Well that stinks.

Just to clarify, nothing in an IDOC falls to the ground anymore? Either is goes to an Ettin or to the world loot pool, but nothing falls to the ground?
Shane your IDOC LOOT system is great like you said it spreads the loot around basocally. What I suggest is since IDOCS don't drop full lootauje somehow make it so a player example: Idocer PointsThe problem with this now a days is people edit their client files locally to change the entire graphic of a stealable rare so when they see it on their client it shows up as say a huge blob or something (making it entirely easy to find).

The new stealable rare system is no fun...the time intervals are very wide or closely camped. I don't know what was wrong with the old stealable system, it was way better. Kept you online, stealing the daily and maybe getting the weekly or monthly. Joe needs to be put back on stealables again, he did a way better job.
