Monster BOD & Quests

just something im curiouse about that i have seen on other servers.. would really be interested in the Monster BoD's since i dont plan on making a crafter, but BoD's where you wouldnt NEED a tamer to get some nice stuff. and ive seen quests before in game. there usually very basic, go here grab this kill something loot this and bring it back. would be very interested in something to break up there everyday process of farm/kill/be killed. just a thought

My guess is the main reason why this isn't implemented here is the fact that the loot on those monsters you kill is already plentiful and do not need an extra BOD reward system on top of it.

If the monsters dropped shit loot, or were insanely hard to kill, or the rewards were low tier, then that would change it a bit. Balance would be key, not only for reward vs loot but also the monsters

Yeah, i'd like some quests where you kill "x" amount of a mob or acquire an item that drops from a mob, bring it back to the quest master and they reward you with a prize.

This prize, for example, could be say a random "hit mod with x charges" that you can apply to your favourite weapon? so feeblemind, dragons breath, ghouls touch, clumsy, lightning etc... This means that you can still get shit, but you can also get something cool and worthwhile.

Could be an interesting way to bring these items back that were era accurate and would provide some mode edge to the mostly mundane spell casting/stun closest target pvp that dominates the shard.

Seems like an easy implement too - and i still love that RDA fragments idea dropping on treasure chests that @Ripstas mentioned a while back.

I'm full of great ideas, unfortunately it appears my Australian dose of truth that i give constantly is too much for many to handle, therefore i am rarely listened to.

For anyone who has played after Aos/ML. I'd think tweaking and using the zoo,brit library, vesper collections etc would be a great start.

For those out of the loop.
You turn in various thing for points, the points have different teirs. In aos you can get artifacts, but here we could do cosmetic rewards, maybe meta related stuff, etc.

Examples from them would be; turn in

Resources: cloth leather ingots, Dragon scales etc

Tame x amount of a creature and turn it in

Turn in crafted things like gear

Think there's other stuff too
