Magic Resistance With 50 Magery

Like the title says, I made a nox dexxor with only 50 magic. And I don't plan to raise it. I raised Magic Resistance to 65,3 with lightning. But it stops. Which spells do you recommend to use to raise MR.

Well with 50 magery-- good luck raising it alone. But from 65, you need to use 7th circle resistible spells. Fs or mana drain are commonly used.

no, here's the best thing to do, raise mage and resist up at the same time. do mana drain for a while then switch to reveal, then after you get to around the high 70's low 80's use mana vamp until you gm resist then drop magery for the rest of your skills...

Probably not well. Parry protects against physical melee damage only. Magic Resistance provides magical damage reduction, which is usually more dangerous than physical damage because you can always wear armor to reduce physical damage.

^^this is pretty much how you solo train resistance on a melee character. You can choose to lose magery after this, but I usually always have GM magery on my melee characters.

I was speaking with a buddy of mine and we had a little debate on whether having gm magery or just 50-80 magery on a dexxer was better. I believe in having it Gm in order for a better Gheal or small heal. What are your thoughts on this Halygon?

definitely GM it for the heal amount, you'll need those heals to count, especially if you dont have wrestling
What he said ^^

Plus the magic reflect is stronger and you can cure higher level poisons.

I had Resist Spells at ~50 and was taking heavy damage from orcish mages, reapers, etc right outside of Britain. I took the time/gold to raise Resist Spells to 85 (still working on it), and the damage from these enemies was SUBSTANTIALLY reduced. I was taking on two spellcaster types at the same time and only took 1/5 of my HP in damage, as opposed to running from such a fight and still dying half the time.

And I haven't even gotten into dungeons in this game yet. I would call Resist Spells an essential skill to have at GM for any fighting character. Here's what I used:

50-70 - Mana Drain
70-80 - Paralyze
80-85 - Energy Bolt
85-GM - Mana Vampire

And just so you know, you'll need about 45 MP to cast Mana Vampire and also about 85-90 Magery to not have it fizzle every single time. So raise those as you go, then drop them down later if you don't want them. Also helps to raise Meditation too, so your MP will recover fast between Mana Vampires.

How much does 50 magery vs GM effect your reflect, reactive armor etc. Bah never mind I found it!
