Looting with UOS

My most liked feature of UOS is the "experimental looting" which can be enabled, and which pops up everything in a corpse into seperate grid-windows.

The feature is too slow for competitive gaming or PvP (I think... I don't PvP), but it eliminates the painful looting of UO, of pixeltargeting-click-hold-drag-release.

It helps tons for relaxing PvM, and probably reduces the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome quite a bit. I am old enough (ahem) that this is important, because I work a lot on a PC anyway.

I reject already herewith and henceforth the upcoming accusations of being a trammelite (I hated trammel).

Feel free to call me a carebear instead ;)

I have Carpal issues too so I hear you. I don't like the grid looting system though because it is clunky if there are a lot of items.

If you haven't already, set a hotkey for "grab". Cant remember exactly where it is... but it gives you a cursor (like spell cursor) where you just click the item to loot it. Saves your wrist and you can loot much faster than grid.

I tried this out when it came out. I can see it being nice for PvM. For PvP or quick looting, it is ridiculously slow. Its like trying to quick loot with the Grab command -- they both go at the same speed.

I think the grid system is clunky on UOF because they have the "Loot All" button turned off for the grid looting. On other shards with this turned on, you only click the loot all and wait till everything is in your bag.
