Is a Meta Mage worth it?

Playing a meta mage currently is more of a novelty char, unless you have a slayer book... then it becomes an actually competitive pvmer that can match meta dexers and tamers, but only in the places your slayer book can be used.

Shadow disciple is really good, focus is kinda meh, dispersion is pretty sweet in certain situations, and i'm still not convinced on the viability of vivify. Despite how difficult it is to train - meta mage is pretty fun if you're up for playing something a little different

Playing a MAX meta mage without a slayer is not a novelty... its very effective.

Spirit speak restoring mana is an AoS feature. I'm pretty sure it doesn't do anything here except let you talk to ghosts, that is unless UOF has custom modded it to do something different.

What I'd like to know for those who have maxed their meta mage talisman is, how the fk did you do it? What's the best thing to ebolt endlessly until you've maxed out? Or is there a better way to do it? @Lexington @parsnip

I spent a lot of time in Khaldun... you just need to find the best non magical mob you gain from. It's like @steve-o said it's a real ***** to level... way harder than my tamer was.

It is, if you compare it to a maxed meta tamer or dexer. The meta dexers that have the top scores play half my time, or even less. However I do give credit to the fact that I can kill mobs with avoiding damage minus those crazy axe and boulder tossers, even if it's slower due to overall less dps and med down time, it's definitely not bad at any stretch - just isn't gunna keep the same pace if I put the same amount of time into a meta dexer with the proper slayers. Btw I don't recommend training your talisman without a slayer, it WILL be hell.
