Increase Duel Pits Supplies

Hey folks,

Just a small suggestion to the already amazing layout of our Duel Pit system.

When you seem to match your opponent in skill there is a many times I've run out of regs or run out of Explo potions.

Not all Alchy Duels end in the first few spell/potion exchanges.

I was thinking maybe boost the regs by 25/50 for the 5xers and also throw in another 10-15 Explo pots bring the grand total to..

Regs: 75/100 of each.
Explosion Pots: 30-35 total.

Also possibly add agility pots, seems people end up bringing their own.

Any thoughts or constructive criticism is welcome, please try and stay on topic thanks!

I'm pretty sure the duel pits use your own regs/pots BEFORE using any supplied equipment. I think that's the biggest issue. I know 100% CTF and other battles work this way, and i'm like 75% sure duel pits work this way as well.

So if you bring 10 heal pots in with you, get supplied another 10, use 2 during a duel, when you exit you only have 8 heal pots left. It's pretty ******** if you ask me, and I've brought it up several times here and there on the forums but never had any response from staff about if it's possible to fix it or what. It also sucks that CTF and other battles do not provide strength and agility pots, which doesn't make sense since they provide every other pot (not sure about poison though). I have asked for this multiple times as well.

But yes, I agree, if you go in with an empty pack, duel pits should supply you more regs/pots. Why provide free regs but only give 50 of each? Imo it should give at least 100 of each, or the better solution would be to make it like CTF where it literally doesn't even use regs

problem with the regs/pots is the added weight, many players already suffer from templates giving them so much equipment that it makes them overweight. We'll just be seeing this happen more often.

Agreed about whites and blues tho, it's a big advantage for vets as they commonly know to bring their own. skill should outweigh knowledgeability in events hands down and quite often it can be the other way around because of these things.

Note that the best method for avoiding overweight because of template equipment is to just toggle it off, which is done in the [uof menu, in the UO tab, second from the top on the right side. And then bring your own stuff.

I bank everything before I go in, so essentially I'm not too worried about being over weight.

But this should be common practice, show up empty and apply template.

Regeants : 100 each.
Heal : 20
Cure : 20
Refresh : 20
Explosion : 30-40

Agility : 10
Strength : 10

Bandages : 50

Something like that?

Bump!

Would love to hear some thought from the GMs on this one, getting some new players into the duel pits its a little disheartening to not be able to kill your opponent and eventually run out of regs after a few tries.

Any way we could up Atleast the Explo pot count a little?
