I see a lot of young players running around nowadays and a lot of people in the field in general, yet our numbers in IRC seem to be dwindling. IRC is also composed almost entirely of the elderly. I push IRC on every (Young) player I interact with and most of them are like...wut...? Having a link in-game to the lightIRC client, or even just a "Come Join Us in IRC!" MotD or something, might help to prod new players into getting in IRC and hanging out. More people=more business, more PvP, more socialization, and more events being born from the IRC guild.
