Hi All
After spending 15 minutes running my ghost through the wilds in search of a healer (brand new toon - low healing so getting hurt a lot!) I wondered if it wouldn't be a good idea to allow players to setup res zones at their house.
You could purchase the item for something significant - I'm still getting to grasps with what significant means in this economy so I won't put a figure too it but it should certainly be prohibitive for the average player - and then place it somewhere on the door step of your house/keep.
A wandering ghost player could choose to use the Ankh to res on the spot - but for a fee. This fee should be able to be set by the owner with a minimum of something like 5,000 - but here's the kicker - the first 5000 of the fee goes straight into the ether and out of the economy - and then the player only gets something like 20% of the value of the fee over that (this all might be needlessly complex but you get the idea -an option to a well off but otherwise dead player, one off gold sink, ongoing gold sink plus a revenue source for the original players investment).
I can imagine some fairly hefty fee's for those placed directly outside of dungeons!
