healing with the skill without bandages

So I'm still pretty new here so I'll post this here.. Is it possible to use the healing skill without bandages physically in your backpack?

Nope you have to have bandaids to heal with

hmm someone was healing me with no bandages.. I was training healing with my second account ghost, using my thief.. The guy had no bandages but was healing my ghost for over an hour..

Its possible he was using a restock macro so he doesnt have to carry bulk bandaids on him... but im 100% sure you need bandaids to heal with

If at the bank could have been using them from the bank box to not have on his person.

I was watching his backpack, he never moved any bandages anywhere, and i tried to use them from my bankbox and it wouldn't let me..

You can use bandaids from outside containers that are not in your backpack.

Also, some people are extremely sneaky about hiding their consumables!

I macroed healing on the ghost on the WBB roof and kept the bandages in my bank the entire time without the use of a restock macro.
It also seemed that I was able to use them when my bank box wasn't even open once I started the macro.

It was a bit odd but I just went with it.
