Exactly I never said give him infinity time but atleast give him a full week ffs.

I really could care less who gets the house tbh, I'm not into Trammy shit I'm here to PVP with my guild.

That being said I don't agree with 45 days - Infinity until he claims it, like it has been said he may have already quit and would be wasted, but atleast give the man a week to claim whatever he probably donated IRL $ for considering he's new.

Try and think of it like this:

give the guy a few extra days, he probably wont log on anyways and there will be a re-draw. Of course this means more promises not being delivered, and possibly upset veterans logging off and not logging back on, even if they win.

versus

show the playerbase that you understand undelivered promises are a big cause for playerbase loss and prove it by holding true to your word, thus maybe sparking a little faith that has already been lost over similar instances.

And of course, reasonably, when compared to item bless deeds which only had 24 hours to claim or maybe 48, i think you'll find that the 4-5 days that have already been passed falls was very gracious.

What's nice isn't always what's fair, I'm afraid. I only bought one ticket and it was merely to show support for the new raffle system. I don't really agree that donation only was fair to everyone in the first place, so maybe fair is becoming more important than nice these days.

imo if the guy hasnt logged in for over a month redraw today like what was said...if he has logged in try to get a hold of him give it a few days then redraw

Yep like I was saying staff check his last log in and see what is up.

I believe Shane should use his own discretion and not be swayed by Wreckognize or others who pooled in over 100+ tickets, just try to be fair is all.

And if it does re-draw good luck to all participants I'll be your new neighbor soon >: )

It's been over a week since he last logged in, but i will extend it until this Thursday anyways, this gives him SEVEN days.

Will this be the standard going forward for all raffles? 7 days from draw date to claim or a redraw occurs?

Yeah i think everyone here can agree that would be fair. We will run with that for now on. Usually they are claimed in the first hour haha, so this is a first.

ya...it would be a total waste if this guy got it and never plays. i know if i was donating for it i wouldve made sure to check the status right after it was over..or at least within 24 hrs.

7 days is more than fair..

I am not against the 7 day thing, I am against the infinity thing. The guy never even lost newbie status and hasn't logged in for over a month. Can he come back? Absolutely. Will he come back? I wouldn't count on it, people jump on this server to try it out and leave all the time.

The fact remains, Bromista was incorrect. I know he wants to look like such a nice guy and all, but in reality, every raffle and lotto works the same way; with a time limit to claim the prize. So it goes without saying that there should also be one for a UO:F raffle, even if it wasn't mentioned.

In this case, there is another factor: every raffle on UO:F has had a time limit in order to claim the prize. So several people like noobs have purchased tickets with that also in mind. It isn't fair to keep noobs waiting for a re-draw as he would have purchased his tickets excepting a re-draw if the prize wasn't claimed in a reasonable amount of time.

The reason for a re-draw is simple, if the winner is deceased, there's no point in having the prize sit in limbo.

Shane has already said the re-draw is today. He should be doing the things he says he is going to do. Now players like noobs are going to be upset, over what? It's the weekend, the guy has the rest of it to log on and claim his prize, that's reasonable. 1 week is also a reasonable amount of time, especially because it falls in line with the amount of time ticket purchasers would have been expecting for this specific draw.

It dont matter the time frame. The house will be sold for 200 millz the day anyone gets it.
I say if it isnt claimed it goes up for auction on the forums. Gold, dono, property, and items. Whoever wins gets all forms of bidding currency deleted from the server.

If it isnt claimed auction the damn thing off GOLD ONLY! then just delete the gold that was payed for it.
