Client crashes at server selection/character selection

I've been playing for ages with no problem. All of a sudden when i run the client and select a server or sometimes a character the client crashes and a small box appears saying nothing but fatal in it. I've never managed to get into the game since this started happening.

I've tried a reinstall of the client but it doesn't fix the problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just a quick update for anyone who might have the same issue. I rebooted the computer in safe mode and the game worked fine, so i took a guess it may be anti virus related. Sure was for some reason out of the blue my anti virus had blocked the clients access to change files, I disabled this and all is good now
