How about some quests from the librarian?
(example: have him send us on quests for books that are found looking through rubbish. At least it gives them a use since no one buys them and there is no other real use for them....)
(another example: collect the statues of "X" animals and donate them. Give us something to do with statues that dont sell and people dont really want)

Wasnt there a quest he used to send people on? I remember something about toys.....?
Lets fire that up again.
Since the "quest" menu is disabled right now (right when I was about to get my next reward, of course) maybe offer up some in game quests from some otherwise unused NPCs.
