Boat noob, frustrated

I just bought a new gargoyle ship and can't access tiller man settings. is there a certain place i need to stand and click to access boat settings. I'm trying to dry dock. Thanks in advance.

Make sure the anchor is dropped, and then double click the helm (aka, the wheel). You can also use object handles and see the tillerman underneath the deck.
