Being killed in my house

Hey everyone

Hoping someone can tell me what I'm missing here...

I was briefly AFK in my house and come back dead. I only have a small plot so I get that meteor etc can take me out, and that logging off is the only really safe way.

That said - when I brought another toon online i found that I wasn't only dead - I'd been looted. How cam someone loot my corpse inside my house? I guess its possible a thief walked in behind me - but my house is so far off the beaten track that would sound unlikely.

Is there a mechanic I've missed?

Post screenshots of your house/walls, that helps to see. You may be missing a post. Smaller houses aren't 100% safe all the time. If you want to be totally safe, you will need a larger house for sure!.

No one can GET INTO your house through some bug or mechanic, if you were looted it was by someone who somehow got access into your house.

Lock your doors, use tables to block off your character etc.

I understood the doors locked automatically with my level of security. Screen shot attached!

EDIT - or not. I pasted straight into the message - can I do that or do I need to upload it somewhere else first?

Doors reset to anyone if you customize it even if you dont change anything.

Hehe, Hi Yohee, Funny thing is im the one that killed you, and your door wasnt locked. I was simply strollin along the coast and i walked to your door and it opened, so i simply killed you. :p Just cause i needed the murder count. Anyways sorry about that, its fair game. Lock your door next time.

Hah. Well thats bloody odd - the house is set to private and I don't have a key. I just assumed it auto locked as I can't get into any other house (either with you are not allowed to access this or "this is locked"). Where do I find the 'lock the door if you are not a friend" setting?

Create a teleport there. :) Safety gets expanded although you will lose 1 tile.. And click the door, Set security to Owner. Btw, doors here are the most unsafe elements in a house.
