At a loss for what to do next...

Since the last Crafting Guild thread I made lots of things have changed. I havent lost anything to thiefs due to crafting out of trapped boxes.

However the past few weeks I have been spending more time recalling home to reset my boxes than in the Crafting Guild crafting.

There has been a influx of just flat out griefing. Exploding my crates over and over and over. Not ever getting anything out of it except a grey screen.

Its to the point where I cant function as a crafter/shop owner and items I depend on for cash flow are running dry.

So now what? What else can I do
?

i've been gravitating toward PvM. I can make more in an hour slaying monsters, than I can an entire day of crafting :/

I could run round on my tamer if I wanted to but I'd rather craft, I love doing it and I love running a shop. It's how I unwind when I get home from work.

Honestly I want to get rid of the crafting area or at least keep the exceptional bonus but have them in every town. Otherwise what to do next for you maybe switch up what you do/who you hang out with.

You cant put items into a locked box.
You can if you unlock it.

I find that there are very few things that you can craft that a thief is interested in. Of those few things, you should be careful crafting anyways with.

I usually keep my resources in a locked box it is trapped in the case that while i have it unlocked, someone tries to take a peek.

Trammels cry even in the guard zone... What's next? Make the entire shard a safe zone?

You remind me of an old person who is offended by an advert because that showed an attractive girl in a bikini. Then spend the day writing a letter to the tv station in complaint.

Not crying at all. Just trying to find more ways to stop people from messing with me so I can get what I need done in the time I can dedicate to the game.

Like I have said before I dont have to run a shop, I do it because I enjoy it and I like being supportive to the UOF community running the shops I run.

95% of the server can craft everything they need for themselves.

Have you not seen my guide about being thief proof? I know the mechanics of everything I use. Locking the box stops me from storing what I am crafting. Thiefs love runic weapons, slayers, runic armor.

Unlocking the box gets my keys stole or my beetle attacked because I have the keys on the bug and you are required to have the keys in your backpack to use them.

People detonate the boxes then I have to re craft the bomb into the box just for them to rez and blow them again...

Find a server with rainbows and lollipops, oops I mean trammel.

This is what makes UO great - griefing

Lord British himself had to deal with a thief if you've heard that story besides him getting nuked at his own event. Sadly the Brit crafting area is not the socially open place it was intended. It's worse than the anti-social automated stage of Brit Bank West. You have paranoid crafters afk or not spamming GUARDS. My ideas are out there. I would accept nothing less than risk being a crafter. I usually leave losing the items to the people I sell them to.

Basically that area became the thief dungeon. I've never personally had anything worth while stolen since I never bring anything there unless I inspect the area and have people watching... social inter action is needed. Even if it were possible to craft the same items within your house the end result will be either keeping or losing the item.
