Arrow in the knee?

Has anyone ever been playing and their character starts saying things in the template of "I used to do *activity* but then I took an arrow in the knee" without you typing it?

I used to see those messages and kept asking about them like you, but then I took uncountable arrows to the knee.

it became a meme from another game, Elder Scrolls iirc. The NPCs were pretty repetitive in their narratives and that phrase came up often.

Every guard/soldier in Skyrim used to tell you that. I used to Fus roh Dah them as a reply.

The original saying dates way back "taking an arrow to the knee" usually indicated the person could no longer do a thing or activity because he/she got married. "I use to be an adventurer like you, until I got married and she wouldnt let me anymore" is somewhat of an interpretation
