Are GM Smith's Good Income?

Hi there, haven't played since about 1999 right at the end of T2a. (maybe earlier?)

I know this server is a bit different. I was just curious as to GM Smith is still a profitable crafting char? If not, what are the most profitable crafting chars? It seems harder to gain skills in crafting here.

Thanks!

As a crafter of goods to sell to other players, not so much.

As a BOD farmer smiths can be just as profitable as tailors. Both can do quite well even with BODs being a bit of a crapshoot.

Anyhow people do make coin selling goods on vendors but it's just not the best when it comes to profit/time. Your smith will be more valuable filling your own BODs. Also BS is required (100+) to craft deco and slayer armor with the legendary hammer crafting system recently implemented. You'll also need 100+ Carp and Tink depending on what you want to craft. I imagine when more craftables and recipes are out that will be somewhat profitable as few will have all of the necessary requirements.

I think you'll have better success crafting leather suits and throwing them on a vendor tbh. But the gold here comes from bards and tamers not from crafting. Unless of course you have six tailors and farm BODs like a motherfucker.

Fletching and crafting slayer bows can get you some gold but it's kinda meh.

Carpentry...forget about trying to make coin off that. Same with Tinkering.

Actually regarding the smith, it all depends.

I make most of my money off of my smith with weapons and armor sets. I usually have to stock once ever day or so.

That said, I am not making millions, just a 100k every two days or so.

BoDs are worth more if you are lucky.

Seems better than most, but then again your vendor is in a fairly high traffic area at a wellknown vendor mall.

OP's milage may vary.
