Advice - laptop

Hi everyone.

I've played for a long time here (since launch). For the past year or so I've logged in every week to refresh my houses. I've decided I'd like to play again. I've always played in a Mac OS environment (boot camp or parallels). I've decided I would like to play in a native Windows environment. I want to buy a cheap laptop that can run UO easily and be useful for basic web stuff. Here is what I'm thinking so far.

I am a crafter and occasional dungeon crawler. Not a PVPer.

Thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

I play on the road with an acer from Walmart I got for 199.99. Plays UO fine...all that it's used for but runs UO and teamspeak and Discord fine all at once.

Some newer laptops now come as Windows Signature Editions which means the laptop builder doesn't put a load of crappy bloatware on there. If the one you chose isn't a Signature Edition, I would suggest considering a fresh Windows install and then installing the drivers manually. Depending on how friendly the laptop provider is, it could take a while to get all the right drivers but I always find it is worth it in the long run. Nothing beats a brand new laptop with a fresh install, free of bloatware. The NotebookReview forums (http://forum.notebookreview.com) normally have decent discussions on fresh installs.

Good luck and have fun :)
