But if you click on that alert does it at least take you to the right place?

When I try on mobile it just poops itself. So I have to go to the profile of the person in the alert and match the timestamps with their recent activity to find the post I'm tagged.

It's not hard to decipher, but it a little goofy lol.

Nah.. there is nothing to click on in the alert except for the person's profile like you said.

Just made an observation:

When the alert is "fresh" or highlighted in yellow clicking the alert takes you where you need to be. If you let that highlight fade by checking your alerts and then re-checking or by taking yourself to another alert then you're SOL you'll have to play hide and seek.

Try it out, does it work like this for you @halygon ?

Yup, works exactly like that.. the "new icon" (yellow asterisk) is clickable, but goes away after checking alerts once.
